Description
1949 New York Assay Office Massive Silver Ingot. 1,016.46 troy ounces (over 70 #) .999 fine. If you know the market, I don't have to tell you that an ingot like this is a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity. This massive ingot shows a circular imprint of the New York Assay Office on the upper left / top side. The imprint includes "FINE 999" (a rarity in all size Assay Ingots). On the short edge next to the imprint is: "2387 A 3." indicating the "Melt No." and "Bar numbers". All information on the bar exactly matches the original Assay Office reciept (another one-of a-kind rarity) from June 26. 1964 when the ingot was acquired directly from the NY Assay Office (buyers typed name is blocked out on picture only). Actual receipt is legal size (~8.5" x 14") with 3 folds, but picture just shows the top written part as the rest is blank down to some small "form" print on the bottom. Condition of ingot and paperwork is original as received from the Assay Office. Shipping will be by buyers choice and expense. UPS or FedEx are suggested as I can do both from my business, and both allow packages over 70#. Ignore the ebay shipping calculator as I can usually ship cheaper (discounts thru my wholesale business) and will only charge what it costs (no handling, just shipping/insurance). International shipping will be by your clearance and cost (please check before bidding). Payment is prefered by direct wire transfer, cash, or Precious Metal trade (please don't bother contacting me with fake Cashiers Check schemes). I can accept domestic credit cards if you pre-clear the transaction and pay the fee's (2-5% depending on card). I can accept personal checks drawn/converted/cleared on a bank with a Seattle branch. Feel free to contact me with any questions ingot@northbest.com This is a private sale...I am not a dealer, just a long time hobbyist.
